What is Microbotox?

Microbotox is the injection of multiple microdroplets of diluted toxin into the dermis, the second layer. It’s a unique technique invented by Dr. Wu to decrease sweat and sebaceous gland activity. It also improves skin texture and sheen. By placing the toxin on the dermis layer instead of the muscular layer like a regular toxin, it works to also improve the wrinkles formed at rest. For the treatment of the lower face and neck, hundreds of microdroplets of diluted Botox are injected into the dermis or immediate subdermal plane to improve skin texture, smoothen horizontal creases, and decrease vertical banding of the neck, as well as to achieve better apposition of the platysma to the jawline and neck, improving contouring of the cervicomental angle.

The injections are placed superficially, not into the muscles so you still have facial expressions. It's perfect to tighten those wrinkles, help oily skin, acne, and large pores.

Does It Work?

Micro Botox absolutely works! Though it uses less units and is more dilute, it still helps tighten the skin with wrinkles at rest. It helps reduce sweat on the face, reduce oiliness, improve acne scars, and tighten the skin all together.

How Long Does It Last?

Typically “Micro Botox” lasts 4-6 months depending on patients metabolism and activity. “Regular” Botox injections will typically last 3-4 months because more units are injected in the same overall area.
