Shakira Cabrera, MPAS, PA-C

Shakira graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2006 with a dual Masters of Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor’s in Health Care Science. She worked mostly inpatient Medicine in Cardiology, Neurology, and as a Hospitalist. In 2012, she was hired as a PA for the Trauma/Plastic Surgery department at one of the Level 1 Trauma Centers in San Antonio, Brooke Army Medical Center. As part of the Physician Assistant team there, she covered the Trauma bay, ICU, inpatient wards, Surgery clinic and scrubbed into surgeries as a First Assist. It was during her time in the operating room that her love for surgery and aesthetics began. Caring for the complicated trauma and reconstruction patients with a long road to recovery and helping them regain their life and confidence is what gave her joy.

In 2015, she left Brooke Army Medical Center and began her surgical first assist company. She worked with Plastic Surgeons in the community assisting them with cases in the operating room. Although she loved the operating room, she still longed for a way to have her own patients outside of surgery. In 2018, she dove into Aesthetics full force with the goal to grow her own practice and have those relationships again as she did with her reconstruction patients. She’s made it her priority to train with the best worldwide to offer her San Antonio patients cutting-edge procedures and skills.

Interests: running, salsa dancing, and spending time with her family.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Throughout her training in Aesthetics, she’s been privileged to learn the techniques and trade of injectable medicine from the top cosmetic injectors in the country. She believes it is critical for a clinician to continue his or her education and training. She now is a trainer for other injectors and travels around the state training others. She believes learning and having the student mentality is vital in this ever-changing field.

Olinda C. Gutierrez, PA-C

Olinda C. Gutierrez, also known as Lindi here at Jules, is a certified Physician Assistant with over 20 years of clinical experience spanning Hormone Optimization, Pain Management, Regenerative Medicine, Functional Medicine, Cardiology, and Family Medicine. Known for her dedication to superior patient care and her ability to manage clinical operations, Ms. Gutierrez has built a reputation for excellence in both patient-centered treatment and the operational leadership of medical Facilities.

Lindi earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA and earning membership in the Alpha Eta Honor Society. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her commitment to lifelong learning is evidenced by extensive post-graduate training in advanced therapies, including hormone optimization, ozone therapy, joint and spine injections, and phlebotomy. Some of her notable achievements include establishing and directing the first Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) clinic in San Antonio, where she provided innovative cardiovascular care while leading a team of seven medical professionals. Her leadership extended beyond clinical duties to include cross-training staff, enhancing operational efficiency, and developing company-wide protocols for treatment and patient engagement. Lindi is equally adept at integrating holistic and conventional treatment approaches, employing her expertise in functional and regenerative medicine to address both acute and chronic conditions. She is particularly passionate about hormone therapy and functional medicine, working closely with patients to optimize their health and well-being. Her compassionate patient care is complemented by her strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proven ability to foster effective staff and patient relationships. 

Interests: Lindi enjoys touring wineries, gardening, listening to live music, dancing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. These hobbies reflect her vibrant and well-rounded personality, bringing balance to her professional dedication.

Claire Bassler, RN

Claire is a San Antonio native with an educational background in Nutrition and Nursing. In 2013, she graduated from Texas A&M College Station with a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science. Shortly thereafter, she decided to take a step towards her desire to become a Registered Nurse. From there, Claire attended the University of the Incarnate Word’s Nursing Program and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2019. During this program, Claire received recognition for her study endeavors and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. Just ask her and she will tell you how her passion for the field of nursing came full circle!

Following graduation, Claire accepted a position that required her to care for critically ill COVID patients on University Hospital’s Acute Care Unit. During the most uncertain times, she was able to provide hope, comfort, and empathy to both patients and family members. Once the initial surge lessened, she accepted a position on a floor she now calls home. Claire works as a Transplant and Cardiothoracic nurse, caring for your loved ones pre, intra and postoperatively, and often months to years post-surgery. The journey to transplant is extensive, but she spends time cultivating relationships with patients that extend beyond their preliminary hospital stay. 

At Jules Aesthetic and Wellness, Claire is one of our Nurse Injectors. She first dove into the world of Aesthetics in early 2020. During that year, she assisted at a local medspa and spent her free time studying educational and research pieces in aesthetics. It was not until 2021 that she took the plunge and enrolled in Jules Aesthetic and Wellness Novice Neuromodulator course. During the clinical portion of the course, she was amazed at how comfortable being a provider felt. When she is not working at University Hospital, she is diving deep into aesthetics and furthering her knowledge of the industry. Her goal is to provide cutting-edge service to her current and future patients. She looks forward to meeting you in her chair!

Jessica Colson, RN

Born and raised in San Antonio with a love for Aesthetics, Jessica began her career in the medical field in 2005 as an MA. In 2015, she graduated with her Associates Degree of Nursing, now working as a Pediatric ICU nurse. She has a passion and loves taking care of parents and kids seeing them overcome some of the hardest times they will experience. Jessica has a wide array of experience, including critical care ECMO, Dialysis, Congenital Cardiac/open chest, the list goes on. As of today, Jessica is a Pediatric Flight Nurse, flying weekly over the Texas skies transporting some of the most critical kids to San Antonio.

Around 2021, she began dabbling in skincare, health, and wellness. Her drive for growth and learning led her right into Aesthetics.
She trained in 2022 in injectables and completed an Aesthetic Residency program. In 2023, she joined the Jules Medspa team where she continues to grow and educate further into the world of art in aesthetics. She loves being able to help other’s feel better about themselves in their own skin! Jessica looks forward to meeting you in her chair and seeing how she can help you reach your aesthetic goals!

Interest: Enjoys working out, playing with her two dogs Cheyenne & Archie, out doors, traveling, and the best part is being a boy mom!!!

Erin Sullivan, Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Erin Sullivan draws upon over 10 years in the beauty industry becoming a licensed esthetician in 2010, eventually establishing her own business. Erin is certified in microneedling and non-traumatic chemical peels, anti-aging treatments, advanced exfoliation techniques with PCA medical grade peels and facials. She is also certified with IS clinical, Alastin Skin, SkinBetter and ZO products. 

Not only does Erin bring her professionalism to Jules Aesthetics, she also brings her passion for the industry. Treating all skin types and conditions using the most advanced skincare system on the market today, among her expanding and continuing education.

Emily Horan, Licensed Medical Aesthetician

As a lover of all things skincare and beauty, Emily is one of our beloved Estheticians here at Jules. Joining our team in December 2024, her desire and dedication towards ensuring patients feel their best has been an ongoing pursuit for Emily since she joined the world of aesthetics. Born and raised in San Antonio, Emily has a background in singing and choir, initially intending on pursuing a degree in music education before discovering her love for aesthetics. In recent years, Emily has dedicated herself to helping people gain back their confidence through her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact on every patient she cares for.

Known for her bubbly personality and infectious humor, Emily has a way of making every space feel warm and inviting. She brings vibrancy, authenticity, and a deep sense of purpose to Jules, seeing her role as more than just skincare—it’s about uplifting others and making a lasting difference in their lives.

Laura Caldera, Lead Medical Aesthetic Assistant

Laura joined our Jules team in January 2022. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, she graduated from Alterius College as a Medical Assistant in 2007. She has always had a passion for helping others, especially in the world of medicine. She jumped into working straight after school in family medicine before pursuing pediatrics & oncology. In 2014, she took a step back to be a stay at home mom for 6 years. Thereafter, is when she landed in aesthetics and it has been a change but a great one. She loves learning new procedures about facial aging and skincare, which has opened her eyes to a whole new way in helping others. Being in aesthetics, surrounded by such amazing and talented people, has rekindled her passion to do more. She hopes to continue to grow all while helping others.

Ashley Savala, Lead Patient Care Coordinator

Ashley joined our team in August 2022, originally from Austin and has made her way to us in San Antonio. Her extensive background in customer service and knowledge of the Aesthetic industry makes her the perfect addition to our team. One of the first faces you see when walking into Jules, she hopes to make you feel welcome, and get you scheduled for treatments that make you feel like your BEST SELF!

April Reyes, Patient Care Coordinator

April joined our team in April 2023. She is a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to healthcare and helping others. As a nursing professional, her journey began with the successful completion of obtaining her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification. Her ultimate goal is to become an RN injector and is continuing her quest for knowledge as she continues school. She is driven by a passion for aesthetic medicine and a desire to enhance people's confidence and well-being. Beyond her professional endeavors, her heart lies with her family. When April isn't at Jules, you can find her and her loved ones immersing themselves in the breathtaking beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Her curiosity to uncover hidden gems and her adventurous spirit led her to explore the region's charming towns, scenic trails and vibrant food scene. Whether she is savoring delicious BBQ at a quaint roadside joint or discovering a new craft brewery with her family, her culinary explorations are as diverse as the Hill Country's Landscape.

Mckenzie Tucker, Brand Manager

Born and raised in San Antonio, Mckenzie graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, earning a certificate in Social Media and specializing in digital marketing.

With a passion for all things social media and creative expression, Mckenzie has always been drawn to the beauty and wellness industry, which ultimately led her to aesthetics. Shortly after graduating, she joined Jules as our Brand Manager and Marketing Strategist, where she plays a key role in promoting Jules across various platforms and aiding our providers into growing their online presence. She loves contributing to a team that not only centers on service, but one that fosters growth while helping others elevate into the best version of themselves.

Beyond her work at Jules and running Instagram, Mckenzie enjoys spending time with her two French Bulldogs, connecting with family and friends, embarking on road trips, and exploring new destinations around the world.

Kaycee Litman, Medical Aesthetic Assistant

Kaycee, a proud San Antonio native, is a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator at Jules. A loving mother to her three-year-old daughter and an avid enthusiast of art and accessories, she brings warmth and creativity to everything she does.

Her journey began in the beauty industry, graduating as a nail technician from cosmetology school in 2021. After relocating to Nebraska with her husband in 2023, she discovered her passion for the medical field while working in a clinic on an Air Force base. This newfound love led her back to San Antonio, where she earned her CMA certification from San Antonio Medical Assistant School in March 2024.

Now, as both an MA and a welcoming face at Jules, Kaycee takes pride in making every patient feel at home the moment they walk through the doors. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her family and expressing her creativity through handmade accessories—including paintings, keychains, custom bags, and flower pots. With her passion for service and warm, friendly nature, Kaycee is an invaluable part of the Jules team.
