Shakira Cabrera, MPAS, PA-C

There are some women who create beauty, not just with their hands—but with their presence, their purpose, and the story that led them here. Shakira, the founder and visionary behind Jules Aesthetic and Wellness, is one of those women.

Her journey began in white coats and war zones of complexity—graduating from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2006 with a dual Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelor’s in Health Care Science. She stepped directly into the heart of inpatient medicine, building her early foundation in Cardiology, Neurology, and Hospitalist care, before the surgical world quietly called her in.

In 2012, she joined the elite team at Brooke Army Medical Center, one of the country’s leading Level 1 Trauma Centers, where she thrived under pressure in the Trauma/Plastic Surgery department. Her role was expansive—covering the ICU, Trauma Bay, Surgery Clinics, inpatient wards, and scrubbing into ORs as a First Assist. But it was inside those operating rooms, working on complex trauma and reconstructive cases, that something shifted. Her passion for restoration, confidence, and the artistry of transformation took root.

By 2015, Shakira launched her own Surgical First Assist company, collaborating with top plastic surgeons throughout the community. She loved the intricacy, the anatomy, the stakes—but missed something deeper: the relationships. The long-term trust. The emotional arc of helping someone reclaim not just their face, but their self.

And so, in 2018, she pivoted. Not away from surgery—but deeper into purpose. She entered Aesthetic Medicine, full force, with the dream of building her own practice—where science, art, and soul would meet. And thus, Jules was born.

Since then, Shakira has trained under some of the most renowned injectors in the world, constantly refining her craft to bring cutting-edge procedures, safety, and elevated results to the people of San Antonio. Her belief? That Aesthetic Medicine is not just about correction—it’s about collaboration, confidence, and connection. Her patient relationships mirror the ones she cherished in reconstructive care: intimate, transformative, and lasting.

A teacher at heart, Shakira now trains injectors across Texas, passing down not just her technique—but her integrity, her mindset, and her unwavering belief in lifelong learning. She is a clinician, an artist, a leader. And most of all, she is a woman committed to raising the standard of care—one patient, one injector, one day at a time.

When not behind the needle or the podium, you’ll find her on the move—running, salsa dancing, working out, or soaking in sacred time with her family. She leads with strength. She leads with softness. And she leads with a legacy in the making.

Because to Shakira, this is more than a career.
This is a calling.

Olinda C. Gutierrez, PA-C

There’s something quietly magnetic about Lindi Gutierrez, known to patients and colleagues at Jules simply as Lindi. Perhaps it’s her warmth, perhaps the unmistakable steadiness that only comes with over two decades of healing experience—but more likely, it’s the way she fuses science with soul in every patient interaction.

A certified Physician Assistant with an impressive clinical portfolio that spans hormone optimization, regenerative medicine, pain management, and functional medicine, Lindi is not merely a provider—she is a steward of vitality, a woman whose clinical precision is matched only by her deeply intuitive approach to wellness.

Lindi’s academic path reflects her brilliance and quiet determination. After graduating with a flawless 4.0 GPA from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies—earning her induction into the Alpha Eta Honor Society—she built on her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UT San Antonioto develop a career rooted in both strength and sophistication.

Her resume is commanding: from establishing San Antonio’s first EECP clinic for cardiovascular care, to leading multidisciplinary teams and developing cutting-edge treatment protocols, Lindi has shaped the very foundation of patient-centered care in every clinic she's touched. Her expertise runs deep—hormone therapy, ozone therapy, spine and joint injections, phlebotomy—but it’s her artistry in functional and regenerative medicine that sets her apart. She doesn’t just treat symptoms; she restores balance, connection, and vitality.

At Jules, Lindi embodies the union of clinical excellence and soulful care. Whether she’s guiding a patient through hormone optimization or refining operational systems behind the scenes, she is exacting, elegant, and deeply present. Her work is a quiet revolution—transformative, not loud; powerful, not rushed.

Beyond the white coat, Lindi is equally passionate about life’s finer rhythms. She finds beauty in touring Hill Country wineries, hands in the garden soil, dancing under starlit skies, hiking Texas trails, or swaying to live music. Surrounded by friends, family, and the pulse of life, she is as grounded as she is graceful.

Lindi Gutierrez is not just a provider. She is a reminder—that healing is both a science and an art, and that every great journey toward well-being begins with someone who listens deeply, leads boldly, and cares from the heart.

Sean Brennan, RN

A former Army Special Operations Combat Medic, Sean’s journey into medicine began on the front lines—where stakes were high, time was short, and precision wasn’t a luxury, it was survival. After returning home, he didn’t slow down. He traded tactical gear for scrubs, earning his ADN from San Antonio College in 2016, then his BSN in 2022, layering academic rigor on top of battlefield grit.

He started his civilian medical career in the Progressive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital, but when the world shifted in 2020, Sean stepped up. Joining the ICU’s COVID response team, he found himself in the heart of the storm—navigating ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and more. But for Sean, the chaos wasn’t enough. He wanted to understand why things worked—not just how. So, he studied. Deeply. Quietly. Methodically.

In October 2021, Sean made an unexpected move—leaving the hospital to join Jules Aesthetics, partnering with Shakira on a mission that combined clinical edge with cosmetic evolution. His obsession with medical technology found a new home in the world of lasers and energy-based devices.

Today, he’s a specialist in Intense-pulsed light (IPL), Broad Band Light, Radiofrequency, RF Microneedlingand Non-ablative treatments—blending hard science with skin health, bringing tactical focus to every consultation, and redefining what it means to take care of yourself like a man.

Sean’s not the type to chase hype. He respects the data, knows the tech, and believes aesthetic results should be as precise and strategic as any military operation. He doesn't just perform treatments—he engineers outcomes.

Off duty, he’s probably dissecting another device manual, staying sharp at the gym, or keeping things low-key with the same cool composure he brings to the clinic.

This isn’t spa stuff. It’s skin science—with military-grade discipline.

Claire Bassler, RN

If grace had a pulse and compassion wore scrubs, it might look a lot like Claire—a San Antonio native whose path to aesthetic medicine is anything but ordinary. Her story begins in the world of nutrition and science, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M University in 2013. But for Claire, the human body was never just about function—it was about connection. That calling led her to the University of the Incarnate Word, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019 and was honored with induction into Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society for nursing excellence.

From there, Claire stepped straight into history. In the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, she cared for critically ill patients on University Hospital’s Acute Care Unit. Her presence—steady, empathetic, unwavering—was often the last hand held or the only voice of comfort. That kind of work doesn’t just shape a nurse; it shapes a woman.

Once the storm passed, she found her rhythm again—this time on the Transplant and Cardiothoracic Unit, where she now walks with patients through the long, hopeful journey of healing. From pre-op consults to post-op hugs years later, Claire offers something more than clinical excellence—she offers continuity, trust, and heart.

But tucked inside that clinical precision was another calling waiting to unfold: aesthetics.

In early 2020, Claire dipped her toes into the world of beauty and never looked back. She began assisting at a local medspa, diving headfirst into the science of skin and facial aesthetics. By 2021, she enrolled in the Jules Aesthetic & Wellness Neuromodulator Course, and it was there—needle in hand, purpose in heart—that she felt it click: this is what I’m meant to do.

Now a Nurse Injector at Jules, Claire blends the art of enhancement with the depth of nursing care, creating results that are thoughtful, subtle, and deeply personalized. She brings more than skill—she brings intention. Every treatment, every patient, every consultation is infused with her passion for wellness, her meticulous eye, and her natural ability to make people feel beautiful in their own skin.

Off the clock, Claire chases endorphins and fresh air—whether it’s on a trail, in a workout, or exploring new corners of the world. She’s as passionate about fitness, nutrition, and travel as she is about transformation—inside and out.

Claire is not just a provider. She’s the perfect blend of science, soul, and sparkle—and she can’t wait to meet you in her chair.

Jessica Colson, RN

Jessica’s story isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about saving lives, embracing growth, and finding the intersection between clinical excellence and soulful care.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Jessica began her career in the medical field in 2005 as a Medical Assistant, laying the foundation for what would become a remarkable path in healthcare. By 2015, she had earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing, dedicating herself to the high-stakes world of Pediatric Intensive Care. Her days—often spent tending to the tiniest, most vulnerable patients—were marked by grace under pressure, unmatched skill, and a kind of compassion that can’t be taught.

But Jessica didn’t stop there.

With experience in ECMO, dialysis, congenital cardiac care, and open chest procedures, she carved out a reputation as one of the most capable hands in critical care. Today, she soars above Texas as a Pediatric Flight Nurse, transporting critically ill children to San Antonio, her wings fueled by urgency, empathy, and the sheer will to make a difference.

And yet—amid the adrenaline and heroism—another passion quietly bloomed.

Around 2021, Jessica began exploring the worlds of skincare, health, and holistic wellness. What started as curiosity quickly became conviction. Her love of science, anatomy, and transformation found a new muse: aesthetics. In 2022, she trained in injectables and completed an Aesthetic Residency, proving that reinvention doesn’t erase your past—it honors it.

In 2023, Jessica joined Jules Medspa, where her journey continued, now not only saving lives but elevating them. As an aesthetic provider, she merges the precision of a nurse with the intuition of an artist—helping patients not just look better, but feel whole, confident, and seen. Whether she’s creating subtle enhancements with a syringe or flying high above the clouds with a critical patient in tow, Jessica’s gift is her presence. She shows up fully—for her team, her patients, and her purpose.

Off-duty, she’s happiest outdoors with her two beloved pups, Cheyenne and Archie, squeezing in a workout, planning her next adventure, or soaking up the wild, joyful beauty of motherhood as a proud boy mom.

Jessica isn’t just part of the Jules team. She’s proof that you can wear scrubs and stilettos, soar at 30,000 feet, and still bring people closer to their most grounded, confident selves—one patient, one treatment, one moment at a time.

Emily Horan, Licensed Medical Aesthetician

If joy had a voice, it might sound like Emily’s laughter echoing down the hallway at Jules. And if glow came in human form, it would be the radiance she brings to every treatment room she steps into.

A San Antonio native with the heart of an artist and the hands of a healer, Emily joined the Jules family in December 2024. While her journey originally began with melodies and microphones—training in singing and choir, once dreaming of becoming a music educator—it was another form of artistry that ultimately called her home: aesthetics.

Her love for skincare and beauty runs deep, not as a surface-level pursuit, but as a powerful tool for restoring confidence, joy, and a sense of self. With every facial, every thoughtful product recommendation, every moment of care, Emily seeks to create more than results—she creates connection.

As one of our beloved Estheticians, Emily’s commitment to her patients is palpable. She is dedicated, passionate, and present, always striving to help others feel like the very best version of themselves. Her treatment chair is more than a service—it’s a sanctuary.

But it’s not just her skincare knowledge that makes Emily unforgettable—it’s her energy. Bubbly, hilarious, and effortlessly warm, she turns every appointment into a moment of light. She has that rare magic: the ability to make people feel comfortable, cared for, and seen—all while delivering expert-level results.

To Emily, beauty is more than skin deep—it’s confidence, kindness, and the courage to take up space in the world unapologetically. And in everything she does, she reminds us that joy is a powerful kind of glow.

Laura Caldera, Lead Medical Aesthetic Assistant

Some women find their calling once. Others, like Laura, discover it twice—each time with deeper clarity and more luminous purpose.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Laura's journey into medicine began not with grandeur, but with quiet devotion. After graduating from Altierus College in 2007 as a Medical Assistant, she stepped immediately into the world of family medicine, then into the tender realms of pediatrics and oncology—spaces that demanded both clinical skill and a heart open to humanity. Her hands have comforted, her presence has steadied, and her care has always been deeply felt.

But life, as it often does, ushered in a new chapter. In 2014, Laura stepped away from the clinical world to embrace her most important role—motherhood. For six beautiful years, she devoted herself to raising her children, a season marked by selflessness, transformation, and profound growth of a different kind.

And then came the return.

In 2020, Laura reemerged—this time into a world she hadn’t expected to fall for: aesthetics. Drawn in by its blend of science, artistry, and the power to restore confidence, Laura quickly realized that helping others didn’t always mean curing illness—it could also mean helping someone recognize their beauty, their glow, their worth.

Since joining Jules in January 2022, Laura has found more than a job—she’s found her renaissance. Surrounded by women who inspire her, in a space that celebrates transformation and technique, she’s fallen in love with learning again. From the intricacies of facial aging and skin science to the subtle magic of modern procedures, Laura is not just growing—she’s blooming.

She brings to the clinic a softness only a mother can offer, a strength born of reinvention, and a fierce, quiet commitment to making people feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her journey is not one of detours—it is one of depth.

And she’s just getting started.

Kaycee Litman, Medical Aesthetic Assistant

Some women arrive with quiet grace and leave a lasting imprint—and Kaycee is exactly that kind of woman. A San Antonio native with both feet rooted in family, beauty, and heartfelt service, Kaycee is more than just a Certified Medical Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator at Jules—she’s the gentle thread that connects patients to the care and comfort they deserve.

Her journey into aesthetics and wellness has been anything but conventional—and that’s what makes it extraordinary.

It began in 2021, where Kaycee first honed her eye for detail and beauty, graduating as a nail technician from cosmetology school. But it was a life shift—a move to Nebraska with her husband in 2023—that quietly sparked something deeper. While working on an Air Force base, she found herself drawn not just to surface beauty, but to the science, structure, and intimacy of patient care. That calling became impossible to ignore.

Returning to her hometown with purpose and vision, she earned her Certified Medical Assistant credentials from the San Antonio Medical Assistant School in March 2024, stepping fully into a role where compassion meets precision.

At Jules, Kaycee brings all of herself to her work: her love for people, her eye for artistry, and her nurturing energy as a mother, creative, and caregiver. Whether she’s assisting in procedures or greeting patients with her warm smile, Kaycee makes every visit feel less like an appointment and more like a homecoming.

When she’s not in scrubs, she’s often found surrounded by her greatest joy—her three-year-old daughter—or lost in the meditative magic of painting, crafting handmade accessories, designing custom bags, and planting beauty in flower pots. Everything she touches becomes a little more vibrant, a little more intentional.

In a world that’s constantly rushing, Kaycee is a gentle reminder that care is an art—and kindness is its own kind of luxury.

Originally from Austin, Ashley made her way to San Antonio with a spirit as vibrant as the Hill Country sunsets. She joined Jules in August 2022, bringing with her not only an extensive background in customer service, but an intuitive understanding of the rhythm, beauty, and intricacy of the aesthetic world. She doesn’t just know the industry—she feels it. And that makes all the difference.

As one of the very first faces you’ll see when walking through the doors of Jules, Ashley sets the tone with effortless grace. April Reyes, RN

There’s a quiet determination in April—a kind of strength wrapped in softness, the kind you feel before she even speaks. She joined the Jules team in April 2023, but her journey into the world of wellness and beauty began long before that—in the space where compassion meets ambition, and purpose is laced with curiosity.

A devoted nurse and healer, April’s path has been one of steady elevation. She first became a Licensed Vocational Nurse, driven by a deep-seated commitment to care for others. But she didn’t stop there. With her eye on a future that fuses clinical skill with aesthetic artistry, April returned to school—and most recently, proudly earned her Registered Nurse degree, a pivotal step toward becoming a Aesthetics RN. Her passion for aesthetic medicine is fueled not just by technique, but by the transformative confidence it gives patients.

At Jules, April brings a calming presence and a learner’s heart—always absorbing, always growing, always holding space for patients to feel safe, seen, and supported. She’s the kind of nurse who not only cares for your skin, but also your spirit.

Outside the clinic, April trades scrubs for sunshine and starlight. Alongside her family, she escapes into the golden sprawl of the Texas Hill Country, where her soul truly comes alive. With an adventurous spirit and a wanderer’s heart, she seeks out scenic trails, charming small towns, and the kind of roadside BBQ joints that still feel like a secret. Her culinary wanderings are rich with flavor and authenticity—from local craft breweries to cozy cafes, every stop is a moment of connection and joy.

April is a woman in motion—professionally, personally, and soulfully. She is rooted in care, driven by purpose, and guided by wonder. And whether she’s holding a laser or a cup of Hill Country coffee, she brings beauty to every space she enters.
